- Mrs. Edward J. Hoffman, 1635 Lake avenue, entertained the ladies of the neighborhood and their children with a neighborhood picnic last week. Those who attended were Mrs. C. E. Burgess, 1539 Lake avenue; Mrs. J. R. Burrows, 1525 Lake avenue; Mrs. Marshall R. Knox, 1617 Lake Avenue; Mrs. J. A. Platt, 1621 Lake avewnue; MRs. Walter D. Elmer and Miss Elmer, 1517 Lake Avenue; Mrs. Henry Harft, 1503 Lake avenue; Mrs. John B. Boddie, 825 Fifteenth street; Mrs. Charles B. STillman, 1620 Lake avenue; Mrs. W. D. Matthws, 1521 Lake Avenue; Mrs. J. Gordon Smith, 1515 Lake Avenue, and Miss Nickey, Mrs. Naischaider of Wabash, Ind.; Mrs. Ed. Therrien of Deerfield, Mrs. H. Therrien of Shermanville, Ill. all of whom are the guests of Mrs. Hoffman.
