- Irene McCourt, mother of Illinois Rep. James McCourt (R-11th), died Jan. 8 in St. Francis Hospital. She was 78, and a resident of 1000 Austin St. She also is survived by her husband, James; another son, John D. McCourt of Wilmette; a daughter, Irene Fredicka of Winnetka; a sister, Adelaide McNulty of Michigan; and 14 grandchildren.
