- A resident called 911 after noticing men dressed in black peering into car windows late at night on Dec. 7. Police converged on the 300 block of Vista Drive and cornered two of three suspects. Evanston residents Dewitt W. Sayles, 35, of 1737 Dodge Ave., and Aaron Jerome Terrell, 23, of 2028 Emerson St., were being held in Cook Conty Jail Tuesday in lieu of $75,000 bail. Terrell cannot be bonded out due to a parole violation. Terrell was charged with attempted burglary and Sayles with burglary, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.
