- Description
- Preservationists hope the village's 15-year-old program for honoring historically sensitive home construction will inspire more homeowners to renovate older homes rather than tear them down. Awards went to homes at 503 Central Avenue, 930 Chestnut Avenue, 1210 Greenwood Ave., 545 Park St., 1601 Washington St, 1623 Washington St., 126 Lawndale Avenue. The last two entries won awards for new home construction that fit the neighborhood. Comments by Mark and Diane Falanga who updated 1210 Greenwood Avenue.
