Miss Hortense Gillespie Gowing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Parker Gowing, will marry Eliot Howland Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans of 1413 Pratt Avenue, Chicago, at the home of the bride's parents, 630 Washington avenue. Rev. Frank Wilson of St. Augustine's Church will read the service. Miss Katherine Ziesing of Glencoe and Miss Marian Rinn of Chicago will attend the bride, and Mr. Charles Evans, Jr., will be best man.

Engagement of Miss Helen Gemmill, daughter of Mr. H. S. Gemmill of 829 Greenleaf avenue, to Mr. Roy Strickler of Milwaukee, Wis. Announcement was made at the home of Miss Lucille Drake, 1226 Lake Avenue.

Reception at the Methodist church next Friday for the Ladies' Aid society. Receiving line will include Mesdames George L. Pattison, J. H. Kaufman, [unclear] E. Burgess, Charles G. Decker, R. F. Baker and J. J. Weber.

Miss Frances Flentye, daughter of Mr. Henry M. Flentye, of Lake avenue, will provide interpretive dancing at the Spring Party April 28 at the Woman's Club

Luncheon Saturday at the home of Mrs. Edgar Ovet-Blake, 921 Tenth Street for members of the Young Ladies Auxiliary. Guests included Mesdames W. H. McMillen and Donald M. Gallie, and the Misses Bernice Dillon, Mary Gallagher, Marjorie [unclear], Margaret Renneckar, Margaret Hall [unclear], Katherine King, Ruth Risley, Clara Nourse, Alice Watson, Dorothy Allen, Alice Wheelock, Laura, Agnes and Francies Flentye, Eleanor Blake, Mae Gibson, Georgia Tuttle, Margaret McMillen and Dorothy Iliff.

Officers elected at the annual meeting of the North Shore Catholic Woman's League: Mrs. William Dooley, Mrs. W. E. Connor, Mrs. P. J. Petersen [unclear], Mrs. E. F. Schoeneck, Mrs. E. H. Miller, Miss Sara O'Brien, Mrs. J. S. Cook, Mrs. J. F. Fahey, Mrs. E. J. O'Connel and Mrs. M. J. Geary. Annual luncheon of the league will be May 10 at the Evanston Hotel. Mrs. E. F. Shoeneck, 815 Oakwood avenue, is in charge of the committee.

Next regular meeting of the Woman's Association fo St. Augustine's Episcopal Church will be nex Friday. Preceeded by a luncheon with hostess Mrs. Davis.

Mr. and Mrs. Lionel H. Frank of 640 Gregory avenue, entertained at dinner Saturday at their home in honor of Mr. and Mrs. David Stearns of Evanston who are moving.

Otis Wardwell, parents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. George Carter, Mrs. Charles Porter, and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon E. Wardwell.

Young Ladies Auxiliary of the Woman's Club will hold annual luncheon at the clubhouse

Mr. M. Beilen and Mr. Carlton Gould, are scheduled to appear at the Lincoln Theater in Chicago next Tuesday evening. They will sing "Are You From Dixie" and "Good-Bye, Good Luck, and God Bless You."
