- The Wilmetet Playground and Recreation Board sponsors playground ball leagues one for fast and one for slow pitch. Director of Recreation Daniel M. Davis announced there will be six teams. Braun Brothers Silver Flashes, managed by Ernest Heller, won the fast pitching championship last year, and the Hoffmann Florists, managed by James Hoffmann, took the slow pitch championship.
