Notes: Harper's family party is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. March 9 in the Highcrest Middle School gym.

The next open gym is scheduled from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday.

Scientists from High Touch-High Tech will bring to third-grade classrooms a geology laboratory Monday called "Dig-It -- Step Into a World of Geology."

Susan Kick, Harper's principal, will have lunch Monday with first- and second-grade students who have birthdays in February. Third- and fourth-graders with February birthdays will have lunch with her Tuesday.

WhereAbouts Inc. will bring a giant floor map to Harper on Wednesday.

The second-grade music program is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Feb. 29. The school invites all parents to attend.
