- Mrs. Agatha Haenel of CHicago, a student of Howard Wells, is giving a recital in Milwaukee She will be under Mr. Neumann's management and will appear in Chiago recitals in April. She will perform at the Winnetka Woman's club on October 20. Mrs. Burton H. Atwood of Winnetka will sing some songs. Mrs. Emory Cobb Andrews is chairman of the Music Committee this year assisted by Mesdames Harvey I. Brewer, [damaged] Rothschild, Louis G. Schmid and Roland D. Whitman.
The Current Events Class of the Wilmette Woman's Club is led by Mrs. E. S. Adams and Miss Julie Adams. The next class is on Oct. 12 Miss Martha Jenkins is chairman of the Civics and Legislative part of the club.
The Woman's Library Club of Glen[?] held its opening meeting of the [damaged] on Thursday afternoon with a musical program presented by Miss Emily Ruby and MIss Linda McDonald. Mrs. S. J. Gillillan [?] is hostess for October.
The Crescent Circle of the Congregational Church, Mrs. Ralph Potter, chairman, will hold a meeting Tuesday at the home of Mrs. H. [unclear], 630 Maple avenue.
The Manuka Club held opening meeting of the season at the home of Mrs. E. R. [unclear], 1304 [unclear] Forest Avenue. Last year the club made 45 garments for the babies at Arden Shore besides for one needy family in.
The Babies' Friendly Society will meet with Mrs. Donald H. Maxwell, 1414 Forest Ave., on Oct. 13
The Royal Neighbors will give a party Wednesday in [unclear] Hall
The meeting of the House[?] Order of Martha was held at the home of Mrs. P. J. Vandenorth [damaged] Dupee Place. Assisting the hostess were Mesdames John Cooney, P. J. Joyce and Robert Holmes. Mrs. Albert Reichmann is president, Mrs. J. J. Rownan is treasurer and Mrs. A. Lyle Norrington, Secretary. The proceeds of various activities will support the missionary work of Father Lannon, formerly of Wilmette, now of Corpus Christi, Texas.
