Notes: On Saturday June 21,2008, Hans and Gianna Panofsky celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Hans and Gianna have been Evanstonians since 1959. In 1938, at the age of 12, Hans fled with his immediate family from Nazi Germany to England. Gianna was born and raised in Parma, Italy. Their marriage took place in the Parma Cathedral in 1958. Gianna and Hans raised 2 sons. John and wife Helena have two daughters and live in Gothenberg, Sweden. David is married with 2 children and lives in Madison, WI.
