- Wilmette Jewelers, founded in 1954 by Lester Inbinder, moved from its original location, 1166 Wilmette Ave., down the block to 1149 Wilmette avenue, taking over a new ground level space in the North Shore Community Bank complex. Lambrecht's Jewelers at 1131 Central Ave. is also a family owned business. That store was opened by Beth Lambrecht's father in 1955 and the family has been in the same business since 1892 when they opened in Chicago.
