An all-day meeting of the fifth division of the Ladies' Aid society of the Methodist church is being held today at the residence of Mrs. Edward S. Hanson, 823 Greenleaf avenue. Sewing will be done for the Marcy Home Center.

The travel class met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Foster Branson, 1119 Lake avenue.

The second of a series of dances was given by the Ouilmette Dancing Club last Saturday evening at he Wilmette Woman's Club. The hostesses of the evening were: Mrs. Frank S. Lower, Mrs. Edgebert Compton, Mrs. Fred D. Buckman, Mrs. John A. Rippel, Mrs. Frank E. Robinson and Mrs. Frank S. Robbins.

The Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge club met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. George White, 1101 Greenwood avenue.

The Thursday club met yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. G. H. Canniff, 723 Central avenue.

An excellent program is in store for the members of the Catholic Woman's Club at their meeting this afternoon at the Woman's club. Mrs. P. A. Grau is hostess of the afternoon.

The next meeting of the Crescent circle will be held at the home of Mrs. N. P. Colwell, 717 Elmwood avenue.

The next meeting of the Comanche Card Club will be held on Tuesday afternoon, November 3, at the home of Mrs. W. J. King on Forest avenue.

The Reading circle will meet Monday afternoon with Mrs. A. J. Coburn, 400 Eighth street.

An all-day meeting of the Woman's association of St. Augustine Episcopal Church is being held at the parish house today. A business meeting, a luncheon at 12:30 o'clock, and an exceptionally good program will fill the day. Mrs. ALbert E. Barber, assisted by Mesdames Albert W. Noyes, Philip Huguenin, Nathaniel F. Webb and other members of the social committee is in charge of the luncheon.

The Woman's Christian Temperance Union will hold a pound meeting on Tueday, October 27, at 2:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. M. M. L. Adams of Winnetka. Each one is requested to bring one pound of groceries to aid the Chicago Woman's shelter at 112 South Morgan street, Chicago, which is supported by the Cook County W. C. T. U. The ladies will take the [unclear] car to Ash street.

A number of the young ladies of the Congregational church met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lyman Drake, 933 Lake avenue, for the purpose of organizing themselves into a society. A committee of two, Mesdames Lyman Drake and Frank Scheidenhelm, were appointed by Rev. Bowers to superintend the organization, now to be known as the "Twigs" Society. President: Helen Pope, vice-president, Clara Nourse; secretary, Margaret Allen; treasurer, Marion Roerts; chairman of the work committe, Dorothy Allen. The next meeting will be held Thursday afternoon with Miss Dorothy Allen, 518 Forest avenue. Beginning next month the regular meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month at the residences of the different "Twigs."

The second meeting of the Wilmette Woman's Club was held Wednesday afternoon in the club room. Mrs. Charles N. Reese of the child and home department was hostess of the afternoon. A special feature of the program was the address made by Mr. William B. Owen, principal of the Chicago Normal college, on the "Influence of the Fraternieites and Sororities." Several musical selections were given by Miss Isabelle Cline of Kenilworth.

Mrs. Herbert C. Arms, 33 Crescent place, will entertain the Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge club today. There wil be two tables.

The next meeting of the Drama Study class is to be held on Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank L. Koontz, 1135 Lake Avenue.

Mrs. George A. Skinner of Linden Avenue will entertain her luncheon and bridge club this afternoon.
