- Madeline McMullen of Lake Forest will host a dinner party Oct. 4 for the Ragdale Foundation's SEcond Annual Novel Affair to raise funds for the Lake Forest-based artists' retreat. Seven other Lake Forest couples will host dinner parties the same night. At each dinner, an accomplished novelist will be honored. Nancy Horan, author of "Loving Frank," will be the guest of honor at McMullen's party. Diane and Tom Quinn will host Richard Russo. Chris and Harry Chandler are hosting Elizabeth George. Jane and Mike Weeden host Ann Hood. Patti and John Scribner host Joyce Maynard. Freida Jacobs and Fred Klein host Tom Perotta. Margaret and Larry Benjamin will host Scott Turow. Penny and Peter West host Luis Alberto Urrea.
