Miss Dorothy Allen entertained the "Twigs" at her home, 518 Forest avenue, Thursday afternoon. The next meeting will be held on December [illegible] at the residence of Miss Margaret Allen, 1004 Ashland avenue.
The Christian Endeavor society of the Congregational church gave a musicale last evening at the church. Prof. and Mrs. Edwards were in charge of the program.
Today is "Auxiliary Day" at St. Augustine's church. There will be a luncheon at 1: o'clock in charge of Mrs. Charles A. Wanner followed by a business meeting. The reading of the history of China will also be continued.
The Woman's Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Church met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Walker W. Baldwin, 212 Woodbine avenue.
The first of the departmental meetings of the "child and home" department of the Woman's club was held Wednesday afternoon. The subject under discussion was "the Social Organization of the High School," led by Dean F. W. Johnston.
The Travel club met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Helen Gage at her home, 1134 Elmwood avenue. Mrs. S. A. Wheelock read a paper on "Portuguese Possessions."
Mrs. Ralph Childs of [illegible] Oak kavenue, Winnetka, was hostess Wednesday to the Merry Matrons' club.
The Tuesday Lunchweon and Bridge club was entertained at the home of Mrs. George Gardner, 716 Central avenue.
The regular monthly luncheon at the Congregational church will be somewhat varied today with a sale of various articles by the Cozy Corner, Central Avenue and Neighborhood circles. A sale of bakery goods will be conducted by the Crescent circle. Following this a most delightful program has been prepared by the missionary committee of which Mrs. H. O. Baird is chairman. A special feature will be an address by Mrs. A. M. Corwin, president of the Ladies' Aid Society of the First Church in Chicago.
A board meeting of the Wilmette Public School Art League will be held next Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. S. S. Dingee, 822 Lake avenue.
Mrs. Charles N. Reese, entertained her Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge club at her home, 727 Forest avenue, this week.
Mrs. Lawrence Collins of Evanston entertained the Reading Circle at her home Monday afternoon [page damaged]

The Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge Club will meet Tuesday awith Mrs. Arthur Allen at her home, 1029 Thirteenth street.
Mrs. George D. Richards, 733 Central avenue, entertained the Thursday Luncheon and Bridge club this week.
The Cozy Corner circle will hold a meeting next Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Charles Barrow, [unclear] Doyle Court.
Mrs. W. H. Shellman will entertain the Central Avenue circle at her home, 914 Central avenue, next Friday afternoon.
The Woman's Missionary society of the Baptist church held their regular meeting Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. D. Greig, 835 Greenwood avenue. "Mormonism as a Life," was the subject discussed by Mrs. Charles L. Major.
There was a meeting of the Wilmette Woman's Democratic League Tuesday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. Amos W. Hostetter, 628 Greenleaf avenue. Mrs. Hostetter read a paper on "The Commission Form of Government," which was followed by a round table discussion.
Next Wednedsday, the regular meeting of the Woman's club will open with a luncheon at 1 o'clock, to be followed by special music and a business meeting.
The local charities association held a meeting Monday evening at the Woman's Club
Mrs. Ernest P. Bartlett will be hostess to the members of the Friday Luncheon and Bridge club today at her home, 1324 Elmwood avenue.
The philanthropic department of the Woman's club will hold an all day meeting next Friday.
The Book circle met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Frank Nathan of Kenilworth
Mrs. Louis A. Clark, 714 Lake avenue, entertained the culture class at luncheon Monday. Covers were laid for six.
Mrs. R. W. Jordan, 1317 Elmwood avenue, will entertain the Thursday club next week.
Mrs. James Whitley will entertain the Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge club next week at her home, 727 Elmwood avenue.
A number of ladies met at the home of Mrs. C. E. Burgess, 1539 Lake avenue, Tuesday afternoon and formed a small club which will meet fortnightly.- Featured Link
