Grace Kingdom helped New Trier repeat as team champion at the CSL girls championship tournament held at Sunset Valley Golf Course in Highland Park Oct. 2.

Coach Scott Fricke's team dominated the nine-team field with a score of 324, 33 shots better than runnerup Deerfield.

Kingdom actually tied teammate Kristin Wright and Maine South's Rachel Oberheide at 80, and settled for fourth place individually after a scorecard playoff to break the tie.

New Trier also counted Lisa Nations (81), Elizabeth Szokol (83), Alice Kang (84) and Katie O'Malley (90) among the top 10 individual placers.

On Saturday, New Trier repeated as champion at the Champaign Invitational with a score of 316 and beat out last year's state runnerup, Marion, by 16 strokes.

Szokol, a freshman, carded a 78 to place second individually and was backed up by Wright and Kingdom with 79s and Kang with an 80 on the par-74 course.
