Announcement has been made of the Wilmette committee of the Ravinia club. Mrs. Charles H. Wanner has been elected chairman. Mrs. H. K. Snider, first vice-chairman; Mrs. Charles W. Braithwaite, second vice-chairman; Mrs. Louis Bruch, third vice-chairman, and Mrs. Lyman Drake, secretary. The active committee is composed of the following ladies: Mesdames Alfred Bersbach, Theodore Breyer, E. L. Fitz Randolph, Frank Collier, Walter D. Baldwin, W. D. Mathews, J. J. Siddall, E. W. McCullough, Edward L. Scheidenhelm, Frank J. Scheidenhelm, Edward L. Lillienfield and Miss Anna Dingee.
Mr. and Mrs. Stalham L. Williams, Jr., entertained the Evening Bridge club at their home, 1026 Elmwood avenue, Tuesday evening. There were three tables.
Mrs. George W. Kibby, 835 Lake avenue, entertained the Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge club at her home this week.
The Reading Circle met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank T. Cutler, 1001 Lake avenue.
A meeting of the child and home department of the Woman's club was held Wednesday afternoon. "The Need of Simple Dress and Proper Chaperonage for Children," was the subject discussed by Mrs. B. F. Langworthy, president of the Parent-Teachers' Association.
The Linden avenue Neighborhood circle met MOnday afternoon at the home of Mrs. M. H. McMillen, 1010 Linden avenue. Current events were under discussion. It has been decided that in the future the members will sew for the Red Cross Society.
A most attractive luncheon and program was given last Friday at a meeting of the Woman's Association of St. Augustine's Episcopal church. The luncheon in charge of Mrs. B. Franklin Bilsland and Mrs. B. F. Affleck proved very inviting. Following a short business meeting, Mrs. Wilson of Chicago gave a most interesting talk on "St. Luke's Hospital." Another feature was a short talk by a native of India, Mr. paul Run Gedahan [unclear], on the "Effects of Christianity in India."
The Woman's Home Missionary society of the Methodist church will meet Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. W. C. Reinhold, 1005 Ashland avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Baldwin entertained twelve of their friends at a dinner party Monday evening at their home, 212 Woodbine avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyman M. Drake, 933 Lake avenue, gave a family dinner party yesterday. Covers were laid for twenty-four guests.
The Town club will hold another of their dancing parties tomorrow evening at the Woman's club.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce B. Powell held a family reunion and dinner party yesterday at their home, 908 Ashland avenue. Among the guests were Mrs. Powell, Sr., of Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Borthwick and Mrs. E. J. Borthwick of Chicago, and Mrs. D. Wallace of the LaSalle hotel.
Mrs. Albert W. Hawkes, 714 Central avenue, entertained her Tuesday Luncheon and Bridge club today.
There will be a meeting of the executive board next Tuesday morning at the Woman's Club.
The Catholic Woman's Club will hold its regular meeting this afternoon at the Woman's Club house.- Featured Link
