Mrs. Douglas Smith has returned from a month's stay in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Landon Hoyt give a dance this evening at their place, "Breezy Point."
Mrs. Richard Nash, formerly of Kenwood, has taken a house at [number unclear] Sheridan road.
Mrs. Wilfred Miller, 932 Elm street, is at the Evanston Hospital recovering form an operation for appendicitis.
Mrs. Harry C. Seymour, [number unclear] Linden avenue, has been elected a member of the Tenth District Program Committee.
Mr. and Mrs. George W. Blossom have as their guests Mrs. Rhodes and her daughter, Miss Rhodes of Mt. [unclear], Minnesota.
Mrs. L. Cook of Kenosha, Wisconsin, spent Thanksgiving with her daughter, Mrs. M. H. Lieber, at the family residence, [number unclear] Elm street.
Mrs. George Wallace Law and Miss Law of Elmhurst gave a tea dance in honor of Miss Georgiana Owsley, Wednesday, at the Blackstone hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. William C. Boyden, Mr. and Mrs. Laird Bell and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fairbanks will share a box at the benefit performance to be given for the Chicago Lying-in hospital at the Auditorium, December 18.
Mrs. Otis Ainsworth Skinner, 402 [unclear] Willow street, announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Marian Streeter Skinner, to Forrest Roderick Lowry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Charles Lowry of River Forest.
Announcement is made of the engagement of Miss Catherine Dummer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Francis Dummer of Chicago to Walter [unclear] Fisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Fisher, Sheridan road.
Miss Margaret Grover, who with her mother, Mrs. Thomas W.Grover, is visiting Mrs. Victor Elting, 830 Mt. Pleasant court, was thrown from a pony cart at the corner of Oak and Maple streets Saturday, but received no injures from the fall.
