Wilmette society people will be surprised to learn of the marriage of Miss Grace Donaldson to Clifton Davis, of Berkeley, California.
The marriage took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. V.Donaldson of 1126 Forest avenue, on Wednesday night at 8 o'clock. The service was read by Rev. Wheelock of St. Augustine Episcopal church. The union of the young couple is the culmination of a speedy and romantic courtship of five weeks' duration.
Mr. Davis was presented to Miss Donaldson by a neighbor of the Donaldsons a few weeks ago, and it was a case of love at first sight. Miss Donaldson wished to postpone the marriage for a few months, but youg Davis so convinced her of his sincerity that she consented to the ceremony.
Only the members of the immediate family and a few very close friends were present and the bride's only attendant was her sister, Miss Gladys Donaldson. Mr. John Dean of Chicago served Mr. Davis as master of ceremonies. Immediately after the ceremony the young couple left for an extended trip through the west. They will visit Denver, Los Angeles, and other points and will be at home in Berkeley after the first of the year.- Featured Link
