- Students chose the Baha'i House of Worship as the "ultimate-landmark" of Wilmette in a ballot cast Nov. 3 by more than 200 third and fourth grade students and staff. Other choices ranged from Homer's Restaurant and Ice Cream parlor to shopping center, Plaza del Lago in the former "No Man's Land" Teachers devised the landmark campaign to teach local history and the demoratic process.
