- At the convocation of the alumni association of the Garrett Biblical Institute held in the press club on Monday, announcement was made of the establishment of the Gustavus F. Swift fellowship at the American University, Washington, D.C. Two scholarships yielding $100 per year were also announced. L. T. M. Slocum and John C. Shaffer of this city [Evanston?] are the donors.
