ROWING -- The New Trier boys and girls rowing team ended the season Saturday in Columbus, Ohio, by winning three gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the 25th annual Jack Speakmon Memorial Regatta.

SWIMMING --New Trier had four individual wins but still moved closer to another perfect season in CSL South competition Friday over rival Evanston in a dual meet. New Trier divers Paige Grant, Caroline Grant and McKenzie Murdoch finished 1-2-3. New Trier's other individual winners included Maddy Urban, Samantha James and Morgan Scott. The Trevians won both freestyle relays. Swimmers were Urban, Stephanie Marchuk, Campbell Costley and Liz Good. In the 400, it was the team of Costley, Caroline Conklin, Scott and James.

CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING --Regina Dominican won its second straight Class 2A regional team championship at the Lake View Regional at Schiller Woods. Coach Mark Szczepkowski's team hope for a top five finish in the team standings on Saturday at the Jones Sectional at Niles West to qualify for the state meet. Mentioned were Junior Ellie Heinrich, Amber Seo, Aileen Campanaro, Michaela Schukies, and Julie Kapst

NSCD TENNIS-- North Shore Country Day's Becca Newmark and Diana Granger were eliminated in early play at the state meet. LOYOLA BOYS CROSS-COUNTRY--Loyola's boys won the Class 3A Loyola Regional with 26 points Saturday at Harms Woods in Skokie. All five of the Ramblers' scorers finished in the top 10, led by winner Nico Composto (15:24.2). Others mentioned include Mark Donohue, Jack Seeberg, Patrick Smith and Will Hague.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY -- Natalie Kaminski finished second in the Loyola Regional girls race for the runner-up Ramblers . The other scorers were AnnMarie McGuire, Rachel Price, Rose McBride and Amanda Bombard.

GIRLS TENNIS: Loyola's two doubles teams at the State Meet scored eight points to tie for 17th place. Caroline Bauer and Molly Montgomery, Renee Lepine and Meredith Abrahamson were on the team.

FIELD HOCKEY -- New Trier's junior varsity field hockey team ended a 15-1 season Saturday by winning the championship game at the Oak Park-River Forest Invitational tournament. Ginny Pera and Martha Chase accounted for both goals for the winners. Two juniors, Taylor McGinnis and Gretchen Remien, tallied nine goals each. Other standouts for the Trevians included juniors Carrie Kenyon and Emma Mitchell, and sophomore goaltender Grace Higgins. TREVIAN YOUTH FOOTBALL--Both Trevian Junior Pee Wee coached by Fred Miller and Pee Wee Team coached by Mark Rice, each are 2009 Chicagoland AYF Division Champions. They will enter the AYF Playoffs No. 1 seeds.
