A unique reunion was held at the home of Mrs. Grant [unclear] Orrington Avenue, Evanston, during the holidays. Mrs. Grant had as her guest her mother, MRs. N. H. Winchell of Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. Winchell is a graduate of Albion college, Michigan, of the class of [illegible], being one of the first women in America to be graduated from a college. Later she held the chair of professor of French at Albion. At the reunion were present Mrs. Woolley of Glencoe, a classmate of Mrs. Winchell at Albion; Mrs. Geo. Johnstone of Portage, Wisconsin, who attended Mrs. Winchell's class in French at Albion in 1861; Mrs. [unclear] Clarke of Rogers Park, also an early Albion graduate, and Mrs. Francis Woolley of Glencoe. When the guests stepped into the dining room for luncheon they made the pleasing discovery that the place cards bore their maiden names. This made a decided hit with all the women, especially with Mrs. Grant's mother, who now is well along in years. Mrs. Winchell returned to her home Monday. Her husband arrived Saturday o nhis return from attendence at a convention, but proceeded at once to his home in Minneapolis.
