- Trout fingerlings, part of a science project at Hubbard Woods School in Winnetka, died because of a mechanical failure in the oxygen pump in their tank. Half of a sister batch of fish, being raised at Central Elementary School in Wilmette, were dispatched to Winnetka to replace the lost fish. comments by teachers Todd Burleson of Winnetka and Jim Tingey of Wilmette.
