- Three jazz musicians from Wilmette, Bobby Lewis, Beverly Coleman and Jerry Coleman, will perform the music for "A Jazz Passion" March 20 at St. Luke Church in Chicago. Lewis composed and arranged the music with Bobby Schiff and Andy Tecson.
Trenton Takaki, of Wilmette, will compete as one of seven finalists in the Music Teachers National Association Junior Piano Competition on March 20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Author Charla Krupp will sign copies of her new book, How to Never Look Fat Again: Over 1,000 Ways to Dress Thinner without Dieting April 1 at Bloomingdale's in Chicago. Krupp is a Wilmette native.
Yoshihiko Nakano of Wilmette won third prize in the WAMSO Young Artist Competition in February.
