- Gertrude Steffens of Wilmette, died Oct. 21 in Skokie Valley Hospital. Mrs. Steffens, 2147 Wilmette Av., was 84. Born in Chicago. Mrs. Steffens is survived by two children, Jerome, and Germaine Roffolo, both of Wilmette; three brothers, John, Peter, and Frank; and three sisters, Eleanor Kelly, Josephine Caraher, and Marie Thompson. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Wilmette.
