- Police from every village from Waukegan to Evanston are on the lookout for a gang of horse thieves who have successfully stolen horses from Evanston, Libertyville and Waukegan during the last month. Liverymen, horse dealers and owners of blooded steeds are told to be on the lookout for strangers asking to rent a horse and buggy. The leader of the gang is thought to be an older man who has been served several prison sentences for horse stealing.
