- Margaret Houghton has been found with her father, John Houghton, in Chicago The girl, age 6, had been induced to go away with a strange woman while on her way to school. Since her mother died two years ago she has been living with George Hinchcliffe and wife in Evanston, the arrangement being that her father would pay her board. The Hinchcliff's wished to adopt her, but her father would not give his consent, nor did he pay any board.
