- St. Mark's Men's club give entertainment in honor of the new rector, Dr. Arthur Rogers. Nearly all the ministers of the larger Evanston churches were there to extend a welcome: Rev. George Craig Stewart, Dr. W. T. McElveen, Dr. David Hugh Jones, Dr. Jaames Madison Stifler and the Rev. A. C. Murray. Other speakers were Mayor James Russell Smart, President A. W. Harris of Northwestern University, Prof. John A. Scott, J. C. Talbot, president of the club.
Dr. T. P. Frost of the First Methodist Church and Father H. P. Smyth of St. Mary's Church were the only two absent.
