- Sherman C. Kingsley, 2436 Orrington, Evanston, was the opening speaker for a series of addresses for "Child Welfare Week" at the Chantanqua course at Chantanqua, N.Y. His subject was "Open Air Schools", a concept developed by the Germans and which has been successful in a few Chicago Schools. The first to open in this area, was the Mary Crane Nursery, Chicago. Classes were held on the roof. Grades went up 2 1/2 %.
