- Mrs. Anna Mulford Brown, 86, passed away in Lakeland, Fla., November 19 [1937], four months after the death of her husband, Pliny Bliss Brown, aged 88. They had celebrated their sixty-fourth wedding anniversary. One of their daughters, Mrs. Gordon Wilson, Resides in Wilmette. Besides Mrs. Wilson, they are survived by two sons and three daughters; Clarence B. Brown of Evanston; Pliny Bliss Brown of Joliet, Ill., and Mrs. Rebecca Drennan [unclear], Mrs. Catherine Stalev [unclear], and Mrs. Anna Fitch of Lakeland, where Mr. and Mrs. Brown are buried. Anna Mulford Brown was the granddaughter of Maj. Edward Mulford, for whom Mulford street, in Evanston, is named. Mrs. Brown's brother, James Mulford, was killed in the Civil war.
