CHICAGO ADVANTAGES
North Shore residents have access to great resources in Chicago. These include The Art Institute, The Chicago Historical Museum, The Crerar and Newberry Libraries.
THE NEED OF AMUSEMENT PLACES
Mrs. Gertrude Britton said that there is a need for good, clean, wholesome amusement places for young people on the North Shore. She said this at a large meeting of the Winnetka's Woman's Club and before the Wilmette Village Council. Mrs. Robert B. Ennis made the same statement in Evanston. It has been made elsewhere on the north shore. These disussions were prompted by a recent report about vice in Winnetka. Some remedies for the problem are the Community House in Winnetka, a Young Women's Christian Association in Highland Park and playgrounds in Evanston. The Lake Shore News is encouraging local village councils to act upon the complaints. - Date of Publication
