- William E. Anderson, state representative from this district, is closing his Livery and placing the horses and carriages on the auction block. Although he is doing well financially, he feels that the future will only see a decline in horses and carriages as a means of transportation. History of his livery is given with its start in 1883 by Earl Powers who later took a partner, Andrew Schwall. After the death of both these owners, Anderson's father, H. S. Anderson purchased the business, later leaving it to his son, William.
