- The North Shore grassroots organization, United We Learn, produced "The Education They Deserve." The group is attempting to raise awareness of inequities in public schools. The group was inspired when State Sen. James T. Meeks, D-15th, organized a peaceful protest in September 2008 calling attention to unequal funding among state schools.
