Miss Jennie Felke left last Monday for Niagara Falls.
Mrs. John Evert is very sick and not expected to live.
Miss Marie Schuett of Evanston has been spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. H. Schuett.
Messrs. Phillip Hoffman and Nic. Bleser returned last Saturday from their trip to Montreal, New York city and other places.
Mrs. Bernard Thalmann, who underwent an operation for goitre at St. Joseph's hospital two weeks ago, will be able to come home soon.
The Gross Point Juniors will play the Glen View Juniors Sunday, and a team made up of married men, old time players (Come-backs) Labor Day.
Mr. Phillip Siegler of Highland Park was buried at St. Joseph's cemetery last Friday. He was 87 years of age and at one time reputed to be the strongest man in Chicago.
A number of boys and girls from here and Wilmette attended a grand supper and dance given in honor of Clarence Herdrich in Chicago. it took place in a large hall owned by Mr. Herdich.
The prize winners of the Ladies' club entertained by Mrs. N. P. Miller, Charles street, were Mrs. Paul Nanzig, first, and Mrs. Henry Hoth, second, and at that given by Mrs. Paul Nanzig, Mrs. John J. Huerter and Mrs. A. M. Lauermann won first and second prize respectively.
In a double-header Sunday the Gross Point Juniors defeated the Skokie Cubs, 4-1, and the Riverside A. C., 9-3. By defeating the Skokie Cubs the Gross Point Juniors can now claim the title of being the best team between Evanston and Highland Park, of which the Hubbard Cubs boasted a few weeks ago. The stars of the day were Schwall of the Skokie's, who fanned twenty men, and Borre of the Juniors, who plays short.
