- Three programs that have ended their affiliations with American Legion baseball--Wilmette, Glenview and Morton Grove--will join new teams from Palatine, Highland Park and Loyola Academy to form the Suburban Chicago Connie Mack Baseball League next summer. Unlike Legion teams, Connie Mack teams have no boundary restrictions. That is good news for Loyola Academy, whose students come from several suburbs and Chicago.
