- Repairs made this summer to a broken intake pipe
cost the city of Evanston $5800. This repair will put a stop to anchor ice getting into the pipe and slowing the city's waterflow. City Diver E. J. Moberg made an inspection of the work done by Diver Joseph G. Falcon who was given the contract to repair the intake pipe. Mr. Falcon also recaulked the open joints and removed the old wooden crib as reported to J. H. Moore, Commissioner of Public Works in a letter written by E. J. Moberg, inspector. This letter is included in the article.
