- This year Garrett Biblical Institute will have their largest class in the history of the school. Opening exercises are held today with Dr. F. C. Eiselen, professor of Old Testament interpretation speaking on "The Recovery of a Lost Civilization." Also the class of '12 will present the school with a replica of what is know as the black obelisk, the original of which is in the British museum. The Rev. Charles A. Law, pastor of Clyde Methodist Episcopal church, Chicago, 1 member of the class of '12, will represent the class in presenting the obelisk to the institute. Also the addition of a new department, a graduate school, was announced by the Rev. Dr. Charles M. Stuart, new president of the institute.
