George J. Phillips, 1119 Forest avenue, a resident of Wilmette for twenty-six years, died Tuesday, April 9, at Rochester, Minn., after a brief illness. Until his retirement five years ago Mr. Phillips was president of the Phillips-Getschaw company, steam fitters. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edith Phillips, and a son, George, Jr., and by several brothers and sisters who live in Quebec, Can. The funeral services were to be held late this week at Quebec, burial will take place there.
