Reebie, Claude Seymour, 2nd Lt. (Died)

2nd Lt. Claude Seymour Reebie, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Reebie of 66 Fox Lane, Winnetka, died in Japan March 25th. Lt. Reebie was recalled to active duty August 11, going overseas in October with the 437th Troop Carrier Wing and has been acting as adjutant of headquarters and Headquarters Squadron. In World War II Lt. Reebie served with the forward echelon of the 20th Bomber Command in India, China, and on Tinian Island for which he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service. He served from March 1943 until October 1945. Lt. Reebie attended North Shore Country Day School, the Choate School, and was graduated from New Trier High School. Thereafter he attended Williams College which he left after his junior year to enter World War II. Before reentering the service Lt. Reebie was associated in the advertising business with Leo Burnett Company, Inc. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and the University Club of Chicago. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Anne, and his brother, Robert S. Reebie of Evanston, and he was a brother of the late S/Sgt. Earl S. W. Reebie, who was killed in World War II.
