Blanchard, Helen (née Barrett) (Died)

Helen Barrett Blanchard, 80, died in Akron, Ohio, on Jan. 14. Mrs. Blanchard was born in Wilmette, and lived in Winnetka from 1934 to 1968. She attended New Trier High School and Northwestern University, and was a member of the Winnetka Garden Club and the Evening Club of Winnetka. Her husband was the late Ralph Ellery Blanchard. She is survived by two children, Nancy C. of San Francisco, and Peter E. of Lake Forest; grandchildren Nicholas, Julia and Anja Borgstrom, all of San Francisco, and Christopher, Matthew and Kara Blanchard, all of Lake Forest; and brothers and sisters Alice Bos, Dorothy Hayden, Daisy Cooper and Harold Barrett. Funeral services were Jan. 19 at the Little Chapel of the Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine St., Winnetka.
