Grable B. Weber Jr., a Wilmette resident, died April 17 at Evanston Hospital. He was 75. Mr. Weber was a 1932 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, Chicago, and a 1937 graduate of the University of Illinois, where he earned a degree in engineering. After college, he served in the Army, attaining the rank of Major, and serving in the Pacific theater. After the war, he worked for T.F. Hanley Co. of Chicago, a mechanical engineering contracting firm founded by his maternal grandfather, T.F. Hanley in 1886. The firm was run by Mr. Weber's uncle, also T.F. Hanley, then by Mr. Weber until it was sold in 1965. Mr. Weber was vice president of the company when it was sold. Mr. Weber was a long-time member of the Illinois Athletic Club and the South Shore Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Sally, a son Grable B. Weber III, and a daughter, Margaret Nelson; three grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Baur.
