Valera, Julio Emilio and Matthews, Kathleen Mary (Married)

Miss Kathleen Mary Matthews, daughter of John Thomas Matthews of Wilmette and the late Mrs. Matthews, became the bride of Julio Emilio Valera of Jackson Heights, N.Y., Sept. 3 [1966] in St. Francis Xavier Church in Wilmette.
The Rev. Carmel Galea performed the afternoon ceremony which was followed by a reception in the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. Earl Remlinger of Wilmette.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Enrique Valera of Jackson Heights, N.Y.
The bride wore a satin gown and Spanish lace mantilla and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley.
Mrs. James Sutter of Sioux City, Ia., was matron of honor and Miss Kathy Remlinger of Wilmette was among the attendants.
Best man was Jose Valera of New York City.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple is living in Berkeley, Cal.
