- Mary Ellen Shaughnessy Turner, 54, died at her Wilmette home on Dec. 14. Born in St. Louis, Mo. She is survived by her husband, Donald; her children, Joan, Glenn, Thomas, Mark, Timothey Turner, and Ann Johnson; and grandchildren Amber and Shannon. Also surviving are her brothers, John, Martin, and Joseph Shaughnessy. A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 18 a t St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in St. Louis, Mo., Burial was in National Cemetary, St. Louis.
