- Robert J. Stark, 80, died November 12, 2000, in Charlotte, N. C. Born April 11, 1920, in New York City, the son of Scottish immigrants. Preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Kay (née Lamb), and a sister, Muriel Stark. Survivors include his second wife, Stella X. (née Gilbert) Stark of Charlotte; daughters Martha (Bill) Clifford of Lake Bluff, Lucia Scott of Auburndale, Mass., and Polly Wilson and her fiance, Bill Parrilli, of Mundelein; son Robert (Cindy) Stark of Prior Lake, Minn.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and stepsons Marc (Pauline) Gilbert of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dean (Mary) Gilbert of Plymouth, Mich.
