- Former Wilmette resident Francois (Fritz) Schneider died April 29 in Sun City, Ariz. [Arizona]. Mr. Schneider, 65, was a native of Switzerland and came to this country in 1947. He became a hair stylist, owning and operating his own salons in Chicago and Wilmette. He is survived by his wife, Cecile; two sons, Roy and John; two daughters, Marguerite and Charlene; a brother, and one grandchild, Lisa.
