- Raymond H. Rau, 81, died July 12 in the American Health Care Center in Elgin. A native of Wilmette. Mr. Rau is survived by his wife, Gertrude Richards Rau; three daughters: Sara O'Connor Pitluk of Winnetka; Elizabeth Schlosser of Wilmette and Katie Bell of Wilmette; two sons, Raymond Rau, of Chicago and William Rau of Normal; 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Nawrocki of Carrolton, Texas. The Rev. James Doyle said funeral mass July 15 in St. Mary Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
