- Caroline Steffens Pearson, 70, who was born in Wilmette and lived in the village all of her life, died Oct. 14 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Survivors include her husband, James E. Pearson, Wilmette; two daughters, Susan Hollingshead, Las Vegas, Nev., and Maureen Schaaf of Birmingham, Mich.; six grandchildren, Timothy (Debra, Daniel (Tami) and Kimberly Hollingshead of Las Vegas and Kathleen, Elizabeth and Matthew Schaaf of Birmingham, Mich.; one great grandson, Joshua Hollingshead of Las Vegas; and a sister, Irene S. Snyder, Wilmette. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook.
