- John Wallace Lane, 91, formerly of Kenilworth and Wilmette, died February 1, 2000 at McGaw Care Center. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lane (neé Kerns) in 1997. Born in Des Moines, Iowa. Survivors include four sons, William W. (Pamela) of Winnetka, John K. (Sandra) of Kenilworth, Stephen G. (Linda) of Edenton, N.C., and Richard A. (Pamela) of Chicago; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
