Former Wilmette resident Virginia (nee Bradley) Hoffmann, 84, died March 31 in Sun City, Ariz., where she had lived since 1978.

Mrs. Hoffman, who was born in Chicago Nov. 27, 1916.

While living in Wilmette she and two friends started “Ladies Three,” a business that conducted estate sales throughout the North Shore.



She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Edwin, who died in 1984, and a brother, Tom Bradley of Park Ridge.

Survivors include three daughters, Joan (Blanford) Pierce of Creston, Ill., Gail McCallum (Gene Prine) of Madison, Wis., and Linda (Thomas) Hale of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, Edward Bradley, Chicago; a sister, Dean Tully of Lake Villa; and her Aunt Essie Palmer (age 101) of Apache Junction, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
