- Julien Joseph Compernolle Sr. of 914 Elmwood Av. in Wilmette died April 3 at Old Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Skokie. Mr. Compernolle, 80, was born in Belgium. He is survived by a son, Julien J. Jr. of Wilmette; a daughter, Lorraine Gleason; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, Leon and Romaine. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
