- Helen Homer Noble died in Red Oak, Iowa, at atg 96. She was born in Chicago and raised in River Forest. Her grandfather, Benjamin Homer, had the only hardware store that didn't burn in the Chicago fire. Her husband was William Noble. She is survived by a son, William Noble of Long Grove; a daughter, Nancy Murphy of Red Oak; two grandchildren, Marilyn Murphy and Marjorie Six; and one great-grandchild.
